Most recently the Country Head for Remy Cointreau in India Subcontinent, Rukn introduced the company to India in 2009 and setup a JV to produce India’s most premium Brandy. In addition to managing the import business for Pernod Ricard and then Remy Cointreau, he also launched Jacob’s Creek in India – which is now India’s single largest selling imported wine brand – and setup the highly successful Nine Hills Winery for Pernod Ricard.
Rukn is the Vice President of India’s ‘Wine Society’ and a judge for the Sommelier India tasting panel. He has previously also worked with Nestle, E&J Gallo and the Oberoi Group of Hotels.
Deepak has been associated with the corporate and media world since 1969. Starting his career with Metal Box he then joined Cadbury’s and subsequently the Indian JV of General Foods of USA before moving to media in 1988 in the following organizations:
Freyan has over 20+ years of Corporate and Mergers and acquisitions law experience as a Partner at Amarchand Mangaldas, a leading law firm in India and earlier with a Jones Day affiliate. Prior to Amarchand, Freyan was General Counsel at Novartis.
Freyan has worked closely with private equity, on capital market transactions and on general mergers and acquisition advisory law (including shareholders agreements, share purchase agreements, drafting and negotiating joint venture agreements due diligence and complex deal structuring) for Indian companies and MNC’s.
Freyan is a graduate of the Law Faculty, Delhi University and completed a Masters LLM) from King’s College, University of London.
